Bali, Costa Rica or Kauai

Well it's time to use the Timeshare again. (likly June)

We First thought to go back to Kauai, visit friends and maybe catch a few waves.(been there done that)
Then we were considering Costa Rica, sorting through the resorts on the list, trying to pick the best spot.
Finaly, I got a crazy thought for a real adventure, how about Bali? Airfare is about the same as to Kauai, but once you're there it's a lot cheaper.

What would you do?

If you have the cheese I'd say hit up Bali. It seems to me that it'd be easier to get to Costa Rica (less time off work, cheaper airfare, etc.) so if you can do it hit up Bali. Im going to Costa Rica in February, but Bali is definetly on my to-go list.

Totally agree with Style – definitely do up Bali. I’ve never been personally but man if I could do it I totally would. And you’d rip it up out there for sure.

Maybe Bill can speak to CR a bit more but I think June is the start of the rainy season which can bring big waves but also a but of a pain to get around.

Ive never been to the other spots, but I can tell you Costa Rica is amazing for active people. Nice friendly people, great food, and its a awesome place for adventure. We went in May, showers would come and go, but didnt effect us one bit. Lots of cool wildlife walking around like monkeys and sloths. I guess it depends what you want out of the trip and how much you like outdoor activities. We surfed some nice waves, hiked volcanos, white water rafted down some intense rivers and ziplined through the rainforest.

I guess you can't lose with either one eh? I'm kinda pushing for Bali but my wife is not to keen on it yet.

Tell her about all the great outlet malls in Bali - because of it's proximity to Asia, everything is way way cheaper than here in the states. They also have huge tax incentives on shopping to boost their tourism industry making luxury goods even cheaper.

I'm totally pulling this out of my ass of course but always easier to get forgiveness than permission LOL.

Haha Rob. I have honestly heard good things about both Bali and Costa Rica. World class waves, warm climate, and good food.
