Power Balance ... Not So Much

Nov 22 11, 7:59 am

Well so much for the silver bullet ...

It’s game over for a bracelet company that boosted profits while claiming its product bolstered athletic performance.

The company that made the Power Balance bracelet, the hologram-embedded piece of rubber worn by sports superstars like Shaquille O’Neal, Lamar Odom and David Beckham, may have to cough up $57 million for misleading customers, according to TMZ.

there's quite a few of them bracelet companies. have a friend who's intimately involved with another wellknown one. been sending him all these investigative television reports where the results are nada about his and other products. there is a minute population that experiences positive results. talk about mind over matter!

There was a very damning video I came across on Youtube when I first saw these things. It had the CEO in front of I think 6 individuals 3 of which were wearing a hidden power band. The CEO was asked to pick out which 3 using whatever balance tests he wanted. He managed to perfectly pick out the 3 that were NOT wearing the power band.

Personally, I wore these things for a little while when a buddy gave them to us as gifts. Sure, I swore that my surfing improved. To a point where I would be annoyed if I couldn’t find it lol. But that lasted about a month and I got over it.

Placebo effect directly injected in to the sometimes shameful realm of consumerism.

One of my bros was showing me this the other day. The store that sold it to him did this test or trick that he tried on me. I stood on one leg with my arms out a lot like those drunk driving tests HAHAHAHA.

anyway he pushed down on one arm and I tipped over then I wore the band and he tried again and really it was hard for me to tip over. I wasn’t doing anything on purpose and it felt like he was pushing with the same force so who knows maybe it was all in both of our heads?
