Anybody build a surf rack?

The garage was starting to get out of hand from boards laying around and since I stay next to the beach my place seems to be the storage point for my friends to dock there boards at, so I decided to build a quick rack the other day. Its pretty much just a 8ft 2x4 with some wood shafts screwed in and then wrapped with some foam. Thought I would share it with you guys and see who else here has made something to hold their boards.

That's a good idea, tri ...and nice quiver you got there! I wish I had a garage. We've just got boards up anywhere they fit. The longboards are a pain.

Thanks guys. Greek, That came out great. Looking at your boards makes me realize how dirty mine really are, lol.

I only have one board.. but I built a little something to get it up off my floor and out of the way when Im not using it..

haha ohh yeah. That's how I do it.. hah.
Im hoping Ill have more boards soon.. so I'll be building something like this for my next one when I move into a new place later this year.

haha yeah.. Got those babies from a surf mag. hah.

I built a rack like the wall mount one by hbs racks border dave likes.
Had 3 boards on one wall but kept hitting my head getting out of bead so I shorten it up to two boards on one wall and one board on another wall.
Was a easy build to .
Found beams in wall marked then then drilled holes threw 2x4 into wall and stud. as for the closet hanger post I just cut them arm lingth then used a hole saw to go 1/2 way into 2x4 so post fit in then screwed from back of 2x4 into rods.
used l brackets under the arms to hel suport weight
