STOKED!!

Waves were 5 to 8' clean lefts. The new board is SICK! I love it! Surfed it as a Quad. Next time I will try the Thruster set. It was so fast and responsive

Fyi, my friend rides with all 5 fins and swears it's the best combo. I dont know, maybe worth a try.

But I know that certian things are frownd upon as you get more north. Hah

As of now, I think I may like the Quad just a little more, because of Speed. With the Quad it's easy to achieve speed on a wave that lacks push. The Quad seems to give more speed (I like that), Where you need to work harder or generate speed with the thruster (so it seemed). One bad move with the thruster and you can lose a wave that lacks push (so it seemed) I guess it felt like the Quad was more forgiving. I have not tried to tuck into any kind of pocket with the Quad yet. I will see how that goes soon.
My board is a single concave with "V" in the tail. Board design plays it's roll in this too, I'm sure. As for how lose did they feel? About the same to me.
The bad part is that waves are never quite the same. So to compare them is hard. Even if I got out of the water and changed them the same day the waves and tide would have changed some too. I did like them both, they both were very responsive but again the Quad seemed more forgiving.
More forgiving makes me feel like I'm doing better HAHA!!

Maybe I will change my mind later, who knows.

You surf out in SC today? Me and a buddy actually made it out to pleasure point around lunchtime and stayed for a few hours. Im still amazed at how many people dont have jobs there, . i thought it would be uncrowded. I was wrong. Still some fun rides. To many rights though, what a tease for us goofy guys.

Got me some fun right slides at carlsbad campgrounds this am with big brother at the (south end) .
