Well.. it's been a hit so far, so we have the next one scheduled now too. Advance notice.. I hope you all can mark the calendars so that you can make it out for another Tribal Surf day at San Onofre!

Where: Old Man’s at San Onofre state beach.

San Onofre is off the 5 freeway in San Clemente right by the nuclear reactors. Check the Spot Intel for more info on San Onofre. Old Man’s is about halfway down the parking lot by the volleyball nets and palapas.

When: Between 7 and 8am – earlier the better. Parking at San O tends to fill up quicklike on the weekends. (Parking opens at 6am if you want to be an early bird so that you dont chance having to wait in any lines)

What to bring: Your board and food.

There’s no Starbucks or McD’s within walking distance and they will not let you leave and come back on the same parking pass. Parking is $10 for a full day. No partial day parking. I think a few of us are bringing their significant other so feel free to bring em along even if they don’t surf. A foldout chair also comes in handy.

^HAHAHAHA yea.. i guess ill just get there around midnight. wait for me guys!

I'll request the day off next day I'm at work (THREE DAY WEEKEND STARTS TOMORROW! WOO! Probably going to surf at least two of those days :-D). I'll do my best to make it out, but work has screwed me over on requested days off before :-/
I might have a friend or two up and surfing by then (Already have them into it, just have to see if it'll stick.), but I'll probably get them to join up here, so they can post themselves. If they don't though, is it cool to bring a friend or two along? Or is it preferably tribe+family only?

Also, anything in particular I need to know about the spot? I heard someone mention booties, I take it it's a rocky walk to the beach? Or is it entirely rocky?

booties.. haha thats a tricky one, cuz there is an off chance you might rip them like me but im sure its helpful.
I think you can bring anyone you want, i think... right? or i wont try to convince my friend either. lol

Heh, I don't even own a pair yet. I'm still piecing together a kit. So far I have... Well, a couple boards and a pair of shorts. Seems to be working well so far :)
Too rocky for a pair of cheap sandals that I don't mind thrashing? Haha

lol.. can you surf in sandals? i dunno, i never tried. haha.. not a bad idea, though .. hmm
