Thanks caesar, I’m glad you find it helpful. Although you shouldn’t hesitate to bring up any questions here regardless of how beginner you might think they are. We all started out at some point.

Hey caesar, Like rob said. Don't be afraid to ask.
You really should hook up with the guys and gals on the next "Outing" When ever that will be??
It's a great time and everyone is more then happy to give any tips. Every single person I have met here on TS is the way surfing should be, A good time.

I have read both the paddling and the etiquette sections and they are very good. I am looking forward to one on intermediate/advanced techniques for both longboarders and shortboarders. I have always wanted to hang ten haha.

In regards to right of way, the arrow in the picture is indicating the break of the wave, yes? As in a left or right break? Next, what if there is no peak? I was out watching today, and the waves were breaking most of the time as a single wave all at once...maybe 40-50 yds wide. There weren't many peaks or waves going left or right. Just straight into the beach. Who has the right of way in that situation?

Yeah, if it's closing out like that, you don't want to ride it anyway. Just wait for a corner to come to you, or better yet, work on spotting the waves sooner so you can paddle over to the edge and ride that.
