Surf Sessions

Had some decent size today..

Session 1 - 8am - 9:30am: Hermosa
Chest-Shoulder high.. offshore winds.. COLD water. Had a few fun drops, no major rides as they were closing out.. but fun waves anyways.

Session 2 - 12pm-2pm: Torrance
Waist-Chest (occasional head+ ).. slight onshore breeze that then turned offshore for 45 minutes or so right before flipping onshore and blasting! hah. Some fun corners I was picking off, had some really fast drops, quick rides, closeouts..

All in all.. General thoughts is that it's COLD out there!!! My fingers and toes were freezing after like hour and half. My body is hurting now too.. haha. Need rest. It was a real good morning though. I enjoyed.

What's the water temp been up there Dave?

It's been staying consistently 55-57 down here since November, and I'm pretty well sick of it!

Yeah, we're rated around 54-58ish depending on where you are in the bay sometimes. It's weaaaaak.

Looks like this weekend might be a fun one … higher than normal air temps, tide going out in the morning, signs of some energy coming in … giddy up!

Anyone make it out today? Damn what a beautiful day. We left before the swell really filled in but still fun surf with friends ... this is what makes it worth putting up with traffic, stupid local government, and all the other bs living in So Cal.

yeah, surf junkie and i went to uppers. my arms quickly reached noodle status, having not surfed in over a month. 2-3 occasional 4 clean, mostly watched other guys surf.

I'm hearing it's really pumping right now. OH in HB and great shape.
