One California Day is awesome. It isn't explicitly longboard, but there's a lot of longboarding in it. It's an overview of the state of the art. It's centered more around the different minds and lives of surfers than just awesome footage if that's what you were looking for in a longboard film. For some reason I think Tyler Hazakian (sic?) was involved with it too.

Fin is ok... explicitly longboarding. It's really well produced, but the surfers are a little young. Unique locations (ie Canada). Worth the netflix.

Point Break? Seriously? I'm going to recommend National Lampoon Presents Endless Bummer then :P

Everytime at a surfshop I pick up and glance over that DVD – One California Day. But I never buy it ... I think I’ll get it.

You know they need to make a flick with total unknowns. Just your regular everyday joe that works 5 days, surfs 2. They aren’t necessarily great surfers but just decent ones – definitely not barneys. Maybe pick random dudes from all over the world. Pigmy surfer in Australia, crazy glacier surfer from Alaska, super rich Cayenne driving dude from Malibu, etc etc. Point being that despite the diverse backgrounds they all get drawn to this same thing. That would be kinda cool.
