The bottom picture is of Zippi himself, so I'd guess those are from his website or something like that. And yeah, Zippi puts that channel down the center of all of his boards...something about pushing water through and giving it a bit more drive, despite the twin fin setup (blah blah, physics stuff I don't understand).
Thanks hyuuj, for the clarification. Sorry Bernie, I didn't think you had a beard, but I also thought you were much better looking than that picture...

TriFish- I hear what you are saying and I AGREE with you. I think that for my skill level (or lack there of) I should ride a longer Fish. I am coming off a long hiatis and I feel that a longer stick makes more sense to me. Builders and surfers that are currently suring a Fish are giving me the "shorter is better" advice.
This was a special order tail design not the regular Zippi Fish I thought Bill da Greek would appreciate the drool factor!

Not bad eh

Quad FTW

my 9'0'' is my main board but my 6'8'' fish is like a fat skate board but so much work to ride ..
Still love the ride of a single fin though

I won't even try to pretend to be experienced enough to compare them. Hell, I've never ridden a quad at all.
BUT
Transitioning from a thruster to a twin fin fish was AWESOME. It feels really maneuverable, lots of speed and with the big keel fins I have on it, plenty of stability. And the fins are notched, so that keeps it from being TOO stable (ie OMG I CANT TURN).
It's definitely on the twitchy side if you're not used to it, but it responds well, so that makes up for it.
