My thanksgiving surf at hermosa beach pier.. weird...

i went to the hermosa beach pier...
was.... pretty bad.. .haha.. really choppy.. some sizable waves.. but somewhat closing out

AND THEN the dumbest thing happened.. .. after about an hour.. my cousin wanted to go .. so we walked out.. and no backpack.. not even my sandals.. so we were like .. wtf...
and if you've ever been to hermosa pier ... they have those giant sand dunes... so i climbed up on top of them.. and all the way far.. on the other side... i saw blue.. and i really really hoped they were my sandals.. so i ran there.. and my backpack and sandals were there....
and then.. i saw my backpack and everything was open.. and i was like.. shitttt..(cuz my camera was in there)
but everything was there.....
so then i got home.. and i checked my camera.. and it had 7 pictures...
and so i was curious so i checked on my computer.... and the person that took the bag... i guess incriminated themselves.. because clearly they didnt know how to use my water proof camera.... so they took totally un-covered face shots of themselves
they were like 8 years old ... haha... i never suspected 8 year olds to do stuff like that ... atleast they didnt take anything ..... wonder what their parents were doing

Wow man I'm glad your stuff wasn't taken. I don't leave stuff on the beach anymore my bro had his cam stolen and I've had my backpack with two crappy video games stolen (joke was on them haha)

Glad to hear you found all your stuff especially your camera, stuff is replaceable but pictures are not. I guess I should count my blessings, there is not much theft here, people leave boards on their cars walk a half mile in to the beach and don't think twice about it. I leave my stuff on the beach always and have never had a problem except for the occaisional seagull taking a sandwich or chips when I have forgotten to zip up my pack. Maybe I just have good surfspots but I don't hear much about theft, hope that does not change in the future.

that would be weird.. haha.. nah.. it was the kid.. because their hands obstruct some of the shots.. they probably couldnt figure out how to work it

dang man.. that sucks.. but lucky thing they didnt steal it. Awesome. I couldnt imagine them not.. they probably got back to their parents.. "Look what WE found!!" "WHAT THE F.. Go take that back where ever you found it!"
