Dane Reynolds update

For those interested, Dane posted a new blog up on his website MarineLayerProductions.com with clips of him surfing while talking about the knee and recovery. He seems to be doing alright, although he did pull out of the Snapper event starting here soon. Although what I thought was strange was for the bulk of the video he was not riding on a C.I. And in scratching the surface, for the Indo scenes he was riding a white diamond. How can he get away with that?

Well yeah, but Im sayin how is he still riding for CI when hes riding other peoples boardS? but then again, Jordy Smith is doin the same thing. Out of his whole Hawaii quiver of 28ish boards only a few were JS

i wonder if their contracts aren't as tight or enforced as in other sports. or maybe their contracts are for only contests and photoshoots? i have no idea. but in most other sports, if you ride/wear/use another competitors brand while under contract, that is a breach.

i remember that CI was not happy when he was on the WD originally. they were taking videos down off vimeo and posts off surfermag and threatening to pull their ads if it was not done.

Last I heard recently from my shaper, Jordy is no longer with JS.. Not sure about Dane though..

thought i saw jordy riding some mayhem boards recently
