We have the tradecraft version of what you are working on with your hands.. (
viewtopic.php?f=16&t=174) .. but I want to know what are you working on with your feet!?
You trying to learn a killer cut-back? Trying to stick that sketchy 360 air? Working on your cross-stepping up and down the deck? Trying to get that other set of toes to dangle over the nose??
Let's hear it..

You won't wanna hear it Dave but been trying to get to the nose lol. MUCH trickier than it looks but at the same time you just gotta walk it and trust yourself. I'd say I'm a cross-step and a half away lol.

haha!!! how about working 'out of' a mid life crisis? maybe not cuz that would mean end of life. ha
in regards to surfing.... working on getting rid of my frontside check turn habit as my first maneuver after dropping in and replacing it with a major hack off the lip like i do backside. sometimes need to forget about trying to gain more speed as if the face will hold forever when in reality and most cases, the sections close out quickly.

^^ LOL!!! squatty I know exactly what you are talking about. Did you skate? I got that "check turn" from skating for sure. It works great but like you say, that's assuming the wave even lasts lol.

skated a bit but pretty sure i developed this bad habit a few years ago when i was riding alot of fishy shapes. positive note during the last swell was that i didn't check turn on about 25% of my rides. a difficult bad habit to break!!!

I don’t think it’s really a bad habit. If we’re talking about the same thing, it works great in certain circumstances to set yourself up for some speed.

For certain circumstances yes. I was doing it when I didn't need to and wasted opportunities for immediated lip bashing. Kinda disappointing.
