Oahu!! Again!!

LOL … yup, after going back and forth on a number of options from Kuai to Costa Rica to Cologne (yes, Germany lol), we decided to go back to Waikiki. We had so much fun there last time, we figured we know the place now a second time would be well worth it. Also it’s one of the more affordable options. So we’re heading back towards the end of April!! Woot!!

Looking forward to the Part 2 Hawaii Adventure movie..

Nice!! We'll be in Hawaii in April too, except on a different island (Maui). Let's keep our fingers crossed for decent swell! Even if there aren't any waves, I'm just looking forward to playing in the warm air & water temps.

i'm soooo jealous... my favorite place in the world is on any of them islands! i'm heading back east to our nation's capitol. a different kinda fun.

I just got back to Burbank after being on Oahu...where I finally learned to surf! Learned somewhere up by Ewa Beach. It was pretty awesome, and I graduated from a 10' foam to a 7'-ish foam in a matter of about an hour. It was a blast!! I'm sure I'll be back before next year.

Thanks guys yeah we’re pretty stoked. And for sure Dave get ready for “Rob & Rosa go to Oahu Part Deux”!! lol … JenO we were thinking Maui too and personally I think I like it there better. But damn I got my feet cut up so bad there at least in Oahu I only cut it up a little lol.

Last time we really didn’t make any plans – this time I want to do a snorkel tour like we did at Molikini and thinking about a shark dive but not sure. Still trying to come up with a few other ideas.

Meyer, how is Ewa beach? That’s by Pearl Harbor? How did you get there.

Last time we went we pretty much stuck to Queens / Canoes and surfed one time at Ala Moana (where I cut my feet lol). Checked out Diamond Head but the paddle out looked sketchy also the walk down for my wife.

Ewa is great! It was so weird not having to worry about rip currents or undertow there. The waves were a little tough to predict, and it was VERY shallow - just around 5-6 feet. Great for beginners! Very rocky, def. needed shoes.

A company called Hawaiian Fire drove us out and ran the lessons, but we also almost always rent a car and it is very drivable. The actual location required you to drive through a state campground, but there was almost 0 portage.
