Whats the difference with fins??

Do you ever find yourself in your local surf shop, staring at a wall rack of fins in every shape and color and think to yourself.... "What's the difference??" ![:[]](./images/smilies/what.gif "what")
Well... Our friends over at Future Fins have put out a "Fin School" page of information on just how their fins differ from fin to fin. Also, good news is that our friends at FCS have much of the same info about their fins as well!
I surfed glass on fins for the whole beginning of my surfing experience, and now this year have finally jumped into fin boxes and discovered the world of fins and how much of a difference they can actually make in my surfing.

believer in them fin schoolage... many of these diff fin designs totally work and dial in your boards.

Changing out fins is a lot cheaper than buying new boards too!

yep! looking for more speed or drive? there are fins for that... looking for more hold on the wave? there are fins for that... looking to loosen the board up? fins for that... think your fins are too small for your dims? you're covered... etc, etc... and you can mix and match to find what suits you. love it!

Im giving this a shot right now. I had the Future EA's on my 6'4" hooker, and it just felt slow. I got a loaner pair of tech flex AM2s to hopefully turn it into a rocket stick.

I didnt like the AM2's I thought they were too big unless I put an AM1 in the back, that being said I was trying them on a huge groveler that didnt need that much fin. SurfJunkie if you like the AM2s I have a pair of honeycomb (not as stiff as the tech flex) that have been used twice that Im looking to sell. Right now on my Black Dumptruck Im running the new Roberts prototype from future and its working great. I am interested in trying the new Machado fin and the WCT at some point tho.
