Any experienced surf-mates in West LA or Dana Point areas?

Hi, looking for a few experienced surfers in West LA or Dana Point to join for some sessions to Malibu, South Bay, Dana Point, or North Shore of Oahu (where & whenever there are waves). I own a couple condos in Dana Point and the North Shore. I'm 50, married with a 3-year-old girl. I live and own a small healthcare practice in Santa Monica. I still short-board and all my old surf-mates have fallen off the map.

You should come hit up me and my groups Friday afternoon outings at El Porto. Me and a few guys (ranging from late 20's (me) into 50's (them)) go and do our best to shred the Porto waves after work each Friday. Usually get in the water by about 1:30pm on Fridays.
We aren't GREAT surfers.. but we're experienced. hah. We have all been surfing for years and generally know what we're doing on the boards.

thanks responding Dave.. it figures Friday's are usually one of my busiest work days, but maybe I can switch a few things around at some point. Isn't it pretty blown most afternoons down there though?

Yes, we get the occasional rough day at seas.. but we usually end up with still a handful of decent waves. Idk how pro style you are, but we pretty much are willing to ride anything.. or nothing.. We just paddle out anyways and somehow end up having a good time regardless.

Yes. Great times. One of our funner days was this past winter where we paddled out in less than stellar conditions and then it started pouring rain accompanied with lightning and thunder..

Everyone else said they were glad I came out. Lightning strikes tallest objects.. Sometimes it's a pain being 6'4..

..but sometime during the storm, it actually cleaned up and we got some majorly fun waves for a second. South Bay is so fickle.. it can go from awesome to awful back to awesome in a matter of one session.

Another Friday for surf has arrived.. Not much out there according to forecasts, but alas.. I needs me some surf. I'll be there as usual. Enjoy your Friday everyone.
