Surfing Buddy

I'm fairly new to surfing and I would really like to meet someone who I could go out and learn with. I live in Thousand Oaks (halfway between LA and Santa Barbara) and was wondering if anyone else on this forum lives/surfs in the area (anywhere from Santa Monica to Ventura). I know most of you are further south, and I am willing to come down a couple times a month to go surfing, though I cannot do so everyday. And I am planning on coming to San O v3.0 on June 27 in case you were wondering. Let me know if you are interested in going out.

What about South Bay? I think that's as close if not closer than Ventura in the other direction. There's a few of us here that are out at Knob and the surrounding area quite often.

Yeah it would be cool to meet a surfer from the area. I have been having a blast out there on my own though. Cannot wait for the 27th in San O.

yeah most of the surfers any further north then say burbank are kinda out of luck on this forum haha since most of you guys are farther south

We will just have to improve our numbers that's all. Many people have joined TS but few come on regularly. We should have more events around the State.

That's spot on, scsu ... there are actually quite a lot of folks from up north on this site. They'll post a few times and drift away thinking that it's mostly So Cal people. Definitely consider organizing something up there ... you'll have my full backing and support in making sure the word gets out.

Yeah.. we are all for it if someone wants to organize something up there.. that would rock. We just cant personally do it since we arent up there..

Theoretically speaking, we are as far from san o as from ventura. Arent we?
